The Architect of Paterson and the Evolution of Jewish Life
Richard Polton discusses his new book, The Life and Times of Fred Wesley Wentworth, the Architect Who Shaped Paterson, NJ and its People, in terms of the evolution of Jewish life and the impact of Reconstructionist founder Mordecai Kaplan on synagogue architecture. Wentworth also designed grand movie palaces throughout New Jersey for entertainment mogul Jacob Fabian, a Paterson resident. The program is part of Bnai Keshet's Shabbat Havurah series.
