Upper Montclair, NJ - Internationally known modern dance
company, Freespace Dance, is proud
to partner with Yoga Montclair to introduce “The Space”. “The Space” is a brand
new performing arts space located within the Yoga Montclair studio. On November
2nd, a benefit performance will be held to raise funds for theater
equipment for “The Space”. All proceeds from the evening will go towards this
exciting new venture for Freespace Dance.

“The Space”
has a beautiful open concept design that gives a blank canvas for creation.
With 30+ foot ceilings, white walls, and light bamboo floors, it is an optimal
location for dance. In Montclair, a town buzzing with creativity, there is a
need for a performance space that is accessible for use. This space will create
a permanent home for Freespace Dance.
It will allow the company to always have a place to experiment, create, and
perform. This sustainable area allows for more consistency and in turn, more
art.
The benefit will feature performances by the Freespace Dance Company as well as
students from their summer dance festival. There will be a wine and cheese
reception following the performance. The evening begins at 8pm and tickets cost
$30. Yoga Montclair is located at 107 Forest Street Suite 3 in Montclair, NJ.
