Lady and the Tramp

Tramp
art is a form of American folk art characterized by layers of notched wood.

From boxes to bureaus, you’ve seen it in magazines and antique shops and

wondered “Who makes this stuff?”.

Come find out at Montclair PopUp Friday evening, Dec. 20 at 6:00pm when Fran Phillips tells all! She’ll talk about tramp art history, why
there are no tramps in tramp art, and show you how it’s made. Her work has been
shown in the New York Times, Country Living, several books on the topic,
historical societies and right here at Montclair Pop Up. She has long been
associated with the American Folk Art Museum and American vernacular craft is
her passion.
