From April 8 through April 12, Montclair Public Library and the Financial Planning Association® of New Jersey (FPA®) will celebrate Money Smart Week® @ Your Library® with a series of free financial literacy programs at participating libraries. The initiative was launched in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the American Library Association, as a public awareness campaign that helps consumers better manage their personal finances.

With help from FPA members, financial experts will present on a range of topics including family budgeting, money tips for kids and college students, and credit matters among others. All programs are free and open to the public, and the library locations are handicapped accessible.
