Sports Art Drawing Class

The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center will be hosting a series
of sports art drawing classes  conducted by award-winning pencil artist
Jerry Winick beginning on Sunday, February 16.

The classes are designed for kids ages 7-12, and will be held on four
consecutive Sundays,beginning on the 16th. Winick, who has won more
than 300 awards for his drawings, has been teaching children’s art for
more than 20 years.

His drawings are on display in several metropolitan
area museums, including the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, and
he is also the owner of Pencilworks Studio in Little Falls, NJ.

Supplies are provided for each child.
Fee for each class is $25, fee to register for all four classes is $75.

held in conjunction with the Museum’s new Smithsonian traveling exhibit
Hometown Teams.

2) The Yogi Berra Museum
& Learning Center will be hosting a sports writing seminar for
middle-school students interested in sports media on Sat. March 1 from 9
a.m. - 2 p.m.  Students who register for the tuition-free program, in
collaboration with Write On Sports, will meet Ben Shpigel of the New
York Times and also have the opportunity to interview a professional
athlete. Lunch will be provided.
