Teen Dating Violence Prevention & Awareness Month Event

Brother To Brother partners with S.O.F.I.A. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 for February is Teen Dating Violence Prevention & Awareness Month.  Teen DV Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships and promote programs that prevent it during the month of February.   The event will take place at the 11 Pine St. Montclair Community Services Center, Montclair, NJ 07042 from 6:00-7:30 pm.  TEENS AND PARENTS ARE INVITED.  Information, marketing materials and Give-A-Ways, to help spread awareness about dating violence, will be distributed to share with friends and family.  Refreshments will be served.  For more information or to R.S.V.P. please contact Joe Davis (Brother To Brother) at 201-306-1518 or Cynthia Walker (S.O.F.I.A.) at 973-932-0530.  Free parking on street or in train station parking deck (near fire station). 

Brother To Brother is a 501(c)3 non-profit mentoring program servicing Essex County male middle and high-school aged adolescents ranging from the 6th through the 12th grades. Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (fondly referred to as S.O.F.I.A.) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that provides advocacy, supportive services and referrals for temporary housing to “at risk” women and children of domestic violence.
