Raymond Carver meets Jennifer Egan in Susan Tepper’s fifth and newest book, "The Merrill Diaries", in which a restless young woman finds love and lust.  Merrill is never long without a man and her patter about her adventures from London to a Pennsylvania nunnery is fast-paced entertainment. 

Ms. Tepper, who grew up on Long Island, has received nine Pushcart Prize Nominations, and a Pulitzer Prize nomination for her novel "What May Have Been" (co-authored with Gary Percesepe).
