New York Times bestselling author David Levithan's most recent book, Two Boys Kissing, was nominated for a National Book Award. Based on true events, the book follows Harry and Craig, two high school seniors who are about to embark on a 32-hour kissing marathon in order to set a new Guinness World Record. Narrating events is a Greek chorus of gay men lost to AIDs. Two Boys Kissing explores the anguish of flagging long-term relationships, gender identity, the process of coming out, and even gay hookup sites.
Gayle Levithan, also an internationally bestselling author, has most recently published Just One Year, the sequel to Just One Day. In Just One Day we meet Allyson Healy, a sheltered American teenager whose life is changed dramatically after 24 hours spent with a free-spirited Dutch actor, Willem.
