Community Corner

With the Author: Diane Sanfilippo and The 21-Day Sugar Detox

On December 12 at 7 p.m. at the Montclair Public Library, Diane Sanfilippo will discuss her book The 21-Day Sugar Detox, a clear-cut, effective, whole-foods-based nutrition action plan that will reset your body and your habits. The library believes in sponsoring health programs for the ongoing well-being of the Montclair community, and will host Sanfilippo as part of its With the Author series.
Early New Year’s resolution planners will appreciate Sanfilippo’s easy-to-follow meal plans and the more than 90 simple recipes to bust a lifetime of sugar and carb cravings in just three weeks. Three levels of the program make it approachable for anyone, including those starting from scratch or from a gluten-free, grain-free, and/or Paleo/primal lifestyle. The 21-Day Sugar Detox also includes special modifications for athletes (endurance, CrossFit, HIIT-style, and beyond), pregnant and nursing mothers, pescetarians, and people with autoimmune conditions.
Also the author of The 21-Day Sugar Detox Cookbook and Practical Paleo, a New York Times bestseller, Sanfilippo will sign books at the event. Books will be available for purchasing, courtesy of Watchung Booksellers. Light refreshments will be served by Terra Tea, a café located within the library that offers a variety of organic, fair trade and locally grown products.
This event is free and open to the public, and the library is handicapped accessible. For more information on this event and the library calendar, please visit www.montclairlibrary.org or call 973-744-0500 ext. 2235.
