Workshop “Imagine That – Stories Travel Beyond Fiction Writing”

8th – 7:00 pm Workshop – “Imagine That – Stories Travel Beyond Fiction Writing” With
Paula Davidoff and Julie DellaTorre. This workshop is open to all but particularly for teachers and others who choose to use storytelling as a springboard to writing informational and narrative texts. Participants will actively listen to folk tales and myths told by the presenters, discuss these stories in small group settings, write for a variety of purposes, and develop lesson plans based on material from their own classroom curricula. NJ teaching standards will be addressed. Two Professional Development Credits will be awarded through the auspices of the New Jersey Storytelling Network.
The New Jersey Storytelling Guild meets once a month at the Vincent Building, to the right of the Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Ave., Upper Montclair NJ
