YMCA of Montclair Annual 1891 Community Gala

On Saturday, November 23 the YMCA of Montclair will host its annual 1891 Community Gala at 7:00 p.m. at the Valley Regency in Clifton, NJ. This year's event honors community leaders Sean and Sue Cullinan for their continued support of the YMCA. The event's chairs are Heidi Daus of Heidi Daus Designs and Michael Turgeon, Treasurer of the YMCA of Montclair Board of Trustees.

Last year's gala raised over $100,000. Every dollar raised went toward the Y's Financial Assistance Program, allowing over 300 children to attend YMCA summer camps; 400 individuals to join one of two Y branches; and over 200 children to get safe after school care.

The YMCA of Montclair was founded in 1891 and serves the communities of Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Glen Ridge, Montclair and Verona. The Y has over 12,000 members that participate in programs including after school care, health and wellness activities, leadership and youth development, camp and sports. Each day, the Y works side by side with the community to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the ability to learn, grow and thrive.
