Local Family Helps Senior for Seniors Pet Foster Program

Program pairs senior citizens with senior pets.

A Cedar Grove family came together this Thanksgiving to collect dog food, cat food, and litter for the Senior for Seniors Pet Foster Program, run by the Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary.

The program pairs senior citizens and senior pets. It benefits both senior citizens, who are given pets to love, and also the older pets, who have less of a chance to be adopted.

The shelter provides the pet food so the seniors can afford to care for their pets, but there is always a shortage.

Micaela and Daniel Kennedy and their extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins donated 18 bags of food and litter to the Senior for Seniors Pet Foster Program.
