Cancelled: Montclair Holds First Trunk-or-Treat

Families invited to decorate their cars, prizes will be awarded.

Note: This event has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

Montclair will hold its first ever Trunk-or-Treat this Halloween.

Otherwise known as a Halloween tailgate, families are invited to decorate their car trunks, stock them with candy and park them at the Montclair High School George Inness parking lot on North Fullerton Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Trunk-or-Treat will be open to children 12 and under accompanied by an adult. A child's family does not have to have a car in the event to collect candy.  

Montclair parents who would like to participate in the Trunk-or-Treat must register participating cars with the Dept. of Recreation at 205 Claremont Ave., Montclair, and provide proof of residency and license plate information. Deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 28.

The best-decorated vehicles will be awarded prizes.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.
