Zombies and Costumed Dogs Invading Montclair

The undead and their dogs will invade Montclair on Saturday, Oct. 12, for the first-ever Dog Walk of the Dead zombie dog walk.

Participation in the event is free. Walkers, with or without a dog, are asked to make a donation to the Montclair Animal Shelter, and/or help stuff the hearse with pet food and products for the shelter.

Face painters will be on hand to "zombify" attendees. WDHA will provide music and giveaways and the station’s Terrie Carr will judge the pet costume contest. 
  
All dogs must be leashed and up-to-date on vaccinations. 

The event takes place from noon to 3 p.m. at Erie Park, Grove and Walnut streets, in Montclair.
