Literary Night Out Friday at Watchung Booksellers
Join us for food, wine, books, and a talk with three authors Friday night at Watchung booksellers!
On Friday, October 26th, at 7 o'clock pm, 3 authors will gather to discuss "Hope & Desolation in Fiction and the Writing Life". Questions will explore just how separate the act of creating stories is from the lives writers live. Does what they write come from their actual lives? And even more intriguingly, does it sneak back in, so that fictional worlds begin to affect the world the writer lives in?
This event is part of the Writing Matters series, a program now in its fourth year, created by bookseller Marina Cramer with Jenny Milchman. Events are characterized by homemade food--baked treats are a frequent highlight--and wine, plus a lively give and take with the audience. Panelists are available for Q&A, and attendees leave with keepsakes and gifts that are truly one-of-a-kind...a signed and personalized book (or two).
Friday night's panel will be moderated by soon-to-be-published firstime novelist, Jenny Milchman, who will guide the discussion to focus on both the craft and business of writing today.
