Where Do Yogis Travel to for Practice? Yoga Retreats

Sometimes Yogis get out of town to find their bliss.

Who doesn’t like a weekend or a week out of town?  If you are still wondering, how can I set my intentions for the New Year.  Think Yoga Retreat.

Here is a small sampling of what local teachers and studios are offering in the next few weeks.  Please note, all the details of accommodations, flights, meals, classes,
and free time are different.  I suggest confirm with studio/teacher.

A Winter Weekend with Ali Campbell

This weekend, January 20-22, 2012, join Ali C. for a chance to brighten your winter practice and intention for the new calendar year. The Lake House Inn, on Lake Nockamixon, in Bucks County, PA, is a yoga winter wonderland.

The Lake House Inn is surrounded by 5,200 acre Nockamixon State Park.  Day hikes are a refreshing option for those who want to strap on their boots and get outside (or snow shoe?). Maybe you prefer to cozy up to one of the large windows in the common areas for a warmer peaceful time.

The retreat begins Friday evening at 5:00 with a welcoming, slow flow practice followed by dinner.  Saturday will be divided into two practices, one morning and one early evening with plenty of time to rest, nourish ourselves with food, and spend free time as you wish.  The nearby towns of New Hope, Lambertville and
Frenchtown are all a short drive away.  Perhaps you’d rather hike around the lake or cozy up with your book by one of the indoor fireplaces. Sunday morning we will seal our intentions with a meditation and slow flow practice followed by brunch. Check out is noon on Sunday.  For more information check out
