Yogathon Inspires Change One Asana At ATime

Garden State Yoga's First Annual Yogathon Raised over $30,000

It is why I practice and teach yoga: To share the practice, to give back and to make a difference in the world and especially within our own community.

Saturday’s First Annual Garden State Yogathon was a blissful successful.  With over 100 yoga practitioners, 12 different teachers, several different vendors donating products and services and more than $30,000 raised for 3 inspiring charities. Calling this yogathon a success is an understatement.

Kim of the fundraising team, Yoga Junkies said, “This is just a room full of people who love yoga. I love this opportunity to experience 12 new teachers.”

This event was well organized, the room was warm and energized and the vendors offered yummy treats and services. The vibe was peace, love and yoga.

One participant expressed, “This is like a yoga buffet!”
