Former Montclair Employee John 'Jack' Ferraro Dies

Ferraro was Superintendent of the township's water department.

A Parsippany man passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover.

John “Jack” Ferraro moved to Parsippany 33 years ago. Prior to that, he lived in Clifton and was born and raised in Brooklyn, according to Par-Troy Funeral Home.

He was the superintendent of the water departments for Parsippany-Troy Hills and Montclair, as well as the Plant Operator for the Jersey City Water Works before recently becoming the new business manager for United Water New York in West Nyack, NY.

Ferraro was a member of Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (nee-Bolognese); his sons: John W. and his wife, Erica of Wayne and Scott C.; his dear sisters: Louise Noroian and Merilyn Tortorella; and his cherished grandchildren: Jack and Ava. His Liturgy of Christian Burial was on Wednesday at Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany and entombment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
