Mayoral Candidate Robert Jackson Talks About How To Keep Montclair Great

The Montclair 2012 candidate says a transparent government is the cornerstone for future success

Just hours after Real Progress Montclair issued a statement with its own questions and answers for mayoral candidate Karen Turner, the Montclair 2012 Team today released a short video of its own mayoral candidate Robert Jackson offering his vision on how to keep Montclair great. The 1:54 video is the first of several the Montclair 2012 team plans to distribute in the coming weeks.

“Montclair 2012 believes improved communications and transparent government to be cornerstones for the community’s engagement, vitality and overall future success,” Jackson said. “Our priorities, as spelled out in the Montclair 2012 platform, include electronic communications initiatives to more closely inform and connect our townspeople and our government.”

After one slate interviews itself, another releases a cheerleading video. I just want to bang my head against a wall...

ROC, you might not be backing Jackson, but certainly no bashing here as you did on Turner's article. Just one post though, hmm. Maybe just a decoy to try and look objective about all mayoral candidates. I saw some smooth, sales talk, but no substance here.

"cheerleading video" wasn't sufficiently bashing? Sorry, I'm exhausted. You are right there is no substance here, nor anywhere as I can see. I have no idea whom to vote for.

"improved communications and transparent government" Excuse me? Isn't this coming from a collection of people with a history of the exact opposite? I think I can see why there's so little commentary here. ...Andrew

Is this the same guy who had the string of flings with teen girls in the 90s when he was married and in his late 30s? In this day and age you would think politicians would remember the Internet makes everybody transparent. Right down to the skeletons in the town closet.

Rightofway - okay, I'm curious. i didn't find this string of flings in the 90s when i did a google search.

Rightofway, I couldn't find anything at all on this. Please don't put that kind of innuendo out there unless you have support to back it up. There have been way too many lies being told on these message boards.
