$25K in Jewelry Stolen From Montclair Home

Police say burglar or burglars may have broken-in through ground floor window.

A window was forced open and jewelry was reported stolen from a Heller Way home, Montclair Police Lt. Det. Angel Roman said.

The homeowners had been in and out of the house all day and came home at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 to find a jewelry box containing $25,000 worth of jewelry missing from a bedroom, Roman said. An antique box which was in a dresser was also reported stolen.

The burglar or burglars apparently entered the house through a double-hung window on the ground level. The window was forced upward, breaking the lock.
