A resident of The Crescent told police on August 12 his Apple MacBook and Sony Vaio laptop were taken from his apartment between August 6 and 7. He said there were no signs the apartment had been broken into. The resident said a bag of expired credit and ATM cards was also taken. Several transactions were attempted on the cards.
Police responded to Church Street on August 16, at 11:50 a.m., on a report of a burglary. The resident told police he was in the shower when he heard a noise. He said he called out and no one answered so he finished showering and got dressed. When he was leaving for work, he realized his Apple Powerbook laptop and wallet were missing. There were no signs of forced entry.
A homeowner on the 100 block of Harrison Avenue told police she left her house for an hour at 3 p.m. on August 17. When she returned, she noticed her Hewlett-Packard laptop and grey nylon computer bag missing. The resident said she left the door locked when she left the house but it was open when she returned.
