Cache of Apple Products, Jewelry Taken From Home

A burglary of a residence on Gates Avenue in Montclair was reported on Jan. 9.

 

A home on Gates Avenue was burglarized of more than $4,500 worth of Apple electronic products and jewelry during the day last week, according to Montclair police. 

A female tenant told police she left the the home at about 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 9 and when she returned a little before 4 p.m. she found a piece of her rear door cut out and the door unlocked.

Someone had cut a 4 by 4 inch square in the door in order to reach in and unlock the door, according to police. 

The tenant reported a cache of electronics missing and various jewelry, totaling $4,650. The items reported missing were:

  • Two Apple Macbook Pro laptops, valued at $2,700 
  • Jewelry, valued at $1,300
  • Apple iPad, valued at $350
  • Digital camera, valued at $300
