Cars Stolen While Left Warming Up, Police Say

The Montclair Police reported three incidents of stolen vehicles while they were left running and unoccupied last week.

 

The Montclair Police Department reported the following incidents of stolen vehicles while they were left unoccupied and running during the morning hours.  

  • Jan 22: At 7:20 a.m., a 2012 Volvo was left warming up in driveway on Eagle Rock Way. The vehicle was left running and unattended for about 10 minutes when it was stolen.  
  • Jan 23: At 6:49 a.m., a 2012 Infinity G37XS was stolen while left running and unoccupied on Harvard Street for about 20 minutes. The male owner started the car and then went back into his home. When went back outside the car was gone.  
  • Jan 23: At 7:45 a.m., a 2010 Volvo XC6 was stolen on Belvidere Place. The male owner started the car and when back inside his home. While inside, he saw the vehicle being driven away. The owner was unable to get a description of the occupants.
