Mythbusters and countless others automotive media have proven time and again that "warming up" a car is not necessary. The only difference between the time of starting the engie and pulling out is engaging the transmission. Sadly, these people who leave their keys in the car get the same full insurance coverage as the poor bloke who acted responsibly. At the very least their deductible should be significantly higher for these sort of thefts.

Wait, "Mythbusters and countless others" are going to tell me that my car doesn't feel 30 degrees warmer inside after I let it run for 10-to-15 minutes on a 5-degree winter morning? Not sure what science they're using.

I have a Chevy Tahoe use autostart often, especially when in NH with ice on my windshield. Cannot use my autostart without the automobile being in the locked position.
