High-End Camera Stolen in Oakwood Avenue Home Burglary

Police said it appears a burglar entered the residence via an unlocked side door and got away with a $1,900 Nikon.

The Montclair Police Department reports an investigation is underway into a residential burglary that took place in the 50 block of Oakwood Avenue Aug. 5.

According to a department statement, at about 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the 50 block of Oakwood Avenue, where the homeowner said he'd been away from his home between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. and had left the home through the side door of the home, which remained unlocked.  Upon the man's return, he reportedly realized his black Nikon D7000 with detached flash, valued at approximately $1,900, was missing.  

Police said it appears the suspect entered and exited through the unlocked side door.
