Man Arrested with 1,763 Steroid Pills in Upper Montclair

The following arrest information was provided by the Montclair Police Department and does not indicate a conviction

 

ARREST

On April 2 at 9:48 a.m., police arrested a 35-year-old East Orange woman for attempting to deposit a phony $225 check in the drive-through at the TD Bank on Bloomfield Avenue. The person allegedly also tried, subsequently to withdraw $100. After receiving an initial report, police went to the bank, where a witness provided a car description as well as the name given by the suspect. Officers saw a car fitting the description as given by the caller. A stop was conducted and the driver of the car was identified as Catherine Judy Green, a 35-year-old East Orange woman. Based on information gathered from the bank and evidence collected at the scene, Green was arrested and charged with attempting to pass a fraudulent check.

NARCOTICS ARREST

Pursuant to a narcotics investigation, a Montclair Police Vice Control Unit arrested this week a 27-year-old East Rutherford man who was found to be carrying 1,763 pills. The narcotics that were confiscated were found to be Turanabol pills, which are a suspected anabolic steroid. Also confiscated was $2,135 in cash. The arrest took place in the parking lot of 539 Valley Road in Upper Montclair near the Valley National Bank.

BURGLARY

On March 31 at about 10 a.m., a burglary was reported at a Clarewill Avenue home. Upon arrival it was learned that the homeowners may have left their back door open during the night and four cell phones along with a quantity of cash was taken out of a wallet. It is believed that someone got in through the unlocked door and that the phones were in view of a window. The burglary is believed to have occurred between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on March 31. Anyone with information should contact Detective Turner at 973-509-4724. 

BURGLARY

On April 2 at about 9:34 p.m., another burglary was reported at an Elston Road home. Upon arrival it was learned that a rear window was broken to gain entry into the home. From the home a safe was taken containing a quantity of jewelry and collectable coins. Anyone with information should be forwarded to Detective Turner at 973-509-4724.
