Man Robs 7-Eleven With Knife, Makes Off With Lottery Tickets, Police Say

A 5-foot 10-inch white man with a thin build, robbed the convenience store of lottery scratch-offs, according to cops.

A man robbed the 7-Eleven in Montclair of more than $120 in lottery tickets with a large knife, according to Montclair Police. 

A white male in his early 20s walked into the convenience store, located at 15 Bloomfield Ave., at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The store clerk working at the cash register noticed the man browse around the store but not pick up anything. 

The man finally approached the clerk at the register and asked for $120 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets. When the clerk asked for payment, the man raised his shirt to expose what is believed to be the butt of a large knife, according to police.

The clerk told police the man with the knife said something about not needing to pay and then left the store with the lottery tickets. 

The man is described as white, about 5-foot 10-inches tall with a thin build and no facial hair.
