Police Investigate Graffiti, Vandalism Incidents

Incidents were reported last week on Valley Road, Grove Street and Mid-Park Lane.

Montclair Police are investigating several reports of graffiti and vandalism last week.

The owner of Prime 151 at 151 Valley Road reported on May 7 the canopy of his restaurant had been ripped and bent "numerous times over the past month," according to a police report.

The owner also reported his sandwich board sign was defaced on May 6 with graffiti and was possibly crushed by a vehicle, the report said.

Orange paint was sprayed on the front emblem of a Grove Street resident's Toyota Prius on May 8, according to a police report. Anyone with information can contact the Montclair Police Juvenile Aid Bureau at 973-509-4751.

Another graffiti incident was reported on May 9 when the entire length of a Mid-Park Lane resident's wooden fence was vandalized, according to a police report.
