Police Investigating Forest Street Apartment Break-In

Someone damaged an apartment doorway while trying to gain access to the unit, according to a department statement.

Montclair Police say they are seeking a person or persons responsible for the reported break-in of an apartment in the 70 block of Forest Street last Friday.

According to a department statement, the resident said she left her home at 7:30 Friday morning and returned at 9:45 p.m. to find her apartment door frame damaged and pry marks near the door. At the time of the report, she could not confirm anything was taken, police said.
