Sister of Montclair BOE Member, Missing for Days, Found Dead in California

A fund has been established to benefit Sandra Coke's 15-year-old daughter.

The body of a woman found near a park in Vacaville, Calif., Friday has been identified as the missing sister of Montclair Board of Education member Tanya Coke, Baristanet reported, citing an Oakland Tribune story.

Sandra Coke, 50, a federal investigator who'd spent decades working as an advocate for death-row prison inmates, was also a wife and mother who lived in Oakland, Calif. She had been last seen, by her 15-year-old daughter on Aug. 4, the Tribune reported.

Police offered no information as to how Coke died or about person of interest Randy Alana, a violent sex offender she dated about 20 years ago, the article continued.
