Suspicious Man Asks Father: Can I Have Your Daughter?

Montclair police are seeking information about the man and if anyone else has experienced a similar incident.

A suspicious man approached a father and asked if he could take his daughter last week on Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair Police said.

The man was described as black, between 35 and 40 years old, about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds who was wearing a red baseball cap, red shirt and a beige jacket, according to a police report.

The man approached the father, who was with his 9-year-old daughter, on the 500 block of Bloomfield Avenue at about 4 p.m. on May 10, the report said.

The man asked, "can I have your daughter?"

The man fled the scene before the police arrived.

A good liberal would have given her over... How uncaring to keep your daughter. What. Have we come to? Was this black man just to lazy to kidnap her? Just asking...

A good conservative would have sold her for profit. Then gone out and bough that assault rifle they covet so much more than any living person. Even their own daughter.

Yeah, what is his problem? He can always make another one! Actually, could just be some one with a really sick sense of humor.... He's out there right now telling his friends, "You should have seen this white guy's face when I asked him if I could have his daughter!! Haha, I thought he couldn't get any whiter until I asked him..."
