Police investigating incident on Valley Road early Saturday morning.

A drive-by shooter fired at and missed two people sitting in a car pulled over on Valley Road early Saturday morning, Montclair Police Chief David Sabagh said.

The drive-by shooting took place just before 1 a.m. near 480 Valley Road, Sabagh said.

Police responding to a report of shots fired found two people in a car who were uninjured. Police say the intended targets had briefly pulled over when another car drove past from which three or four shots were fired. The gunman’s car was described as a silver Nissan, possibly with tinted windows.
