Vandals Graffiti, Damage Watchung School

Graffiti was painted on jungle gym and there was damage to utility building.

Vandals sprayed graffiti and caused other damage recently at Watchung School.

Officers were dispatched to the school on June 25 at about 9:45 a.m. and found town small areas of burnt plastic on the jungle gym tubes, and damage to the outside bathroom and utility building, police said.

There was new graffiti on a small jungle gym in the playground and the rear bathroom door on an outside brick utility building was damaged likely caused by a hammer hitting a dead bolt lock numerous times with a hammer, according to police.

Graffiti was also sprayed on the utility building's storage door, police said.
