Montclair police are investigating an armed robbery that took place last weekend when a man flashed a gun at two people sitting in a car and took their money and cell phones.

Police said the occupants were seated in a 2002 Mercedes Benz in the area of Jefferson Place around 7 p.m. when a man came up from behind the car and flashed a silver revolver at them.

A gun was pointed at the driver through the open driver’s-side window, police said, and the man reportedly told the passengers to “Give me the money; give me the keys; give me your cell phones.”
