Gov. Chris Christie and Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo on Wednesday announced plans for major renovations at Essex County College's Martin Luther King Library in Newark.

Christie and DiVincenzo were joined by Secretary of Higher Education Rochelle Hendricks and Essex County College President Dr. Gale Gibson.

Essex County College received a total of $19 million—the most of all of the state's 19 community colleges—to fund five improvement projects.

The $6.7 million renovation will include 145 computers and an eco-friendly lounge and waterfall.
