Montclair Councilor Serving on Women in Public Office Panel

Event to be held March 21-22 at Rutgers University Douglass Campus Center in New Brunswick.

Fourth Ward Councilor Renee Baskerville will be an expert panelist at the Ready to Run New Jersey campaign training program conference for women to be held Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 at the Rutgers University Douglass Campus Center in New Brunswick. Ready to Run is a non-partisan national network of candidate recruitment and training programs committed to electing more women to public office.

Councilor Baskerville will bring her insights and experience to the Friday morning conference session  “Roundtable: Sister to Sister—Advice from the Experts.” The panel discussion is organized to provide “Real advice from the real experts—women who have done it themselves.” Panelists will share practical knowledge and advice with current and future public officials. Topics will include use of technology, ethics, practical tips for getting and staying informed on policy issues, personal finances, image and presentation, and dealing with sexism.

The Ready to Run conference is presented by the Center for American Women and Politics of the Rutgers University Eagleton Institute of Politics.
