Montclair Launches Click and Park Permit System

On-demand service will allow customers to buy and print parking permits.

Montclair Parking Utility customers will soon have an easier, more convenient way to purchase parking permits using a new online processing system powered by Click and Park.

The new, on-demand service will allow customers to purchase six-month and daily single-use permits online, as well as print their own permits.

Parking patrons will also be able to purchase short-term, on-street parking spaces using their smartphones.

“Having the ability to buy and print a permit at home at any time will truly be a great convenience,” said Township Manager Marc Dashield. “It will save parking patrons the bother of having to come to town hall to pick up a hang tag and they won’t need to worry about not having an overnight permit because it’s too late to pick one up. In addition, replacing a lost permit will simply be a matter of printing out a new one.”

The fee for replacing a permit hang tag is $50.

The new service is being rolled out in phases: six-month permit renewals are already available for purchase. New six-month permit purchases will be next to come online. Shortly after, daily single-use permits will become available through the Click and Park service.

Six-month permit holders may also add another vehicle to their permit for an additional $20 by calling the Click and Park customer service call center (1-866-330-PARK  or 7275) which is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The call center will also provide assistance with customer inquiries and permit purchases over the phone.
