Montclair Police Director Public Hearing Postponed to 2014

Council will be briefed Tuesday on School Board investigation.

The public will have to wait until the New Year to weigh in on whether or not the township should create a civilian police director position.

Public hearings on two ordinances involving the position which were scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10 have been postponed and will be rescheduled in 2014, Township Manager Marc Dashield announced Friday.

The time will be used in order for the Montclair Council to be briefed on an investigation being conducted by the Montclair Board of Education into how more than a dozen student assessments ended up on a public website in October.
