Montclair to Residents, Biz Owners: Keep Cars Off Roads

Garbage, recycling, senior citizen bus and evening shuttle services are suspended for Friday.

Montclair officials warned residents on Thursday to keep their cars off the roads.

Community Services crews will continue with snow removal efforts after a second round of snow pushed through the area Thursday night, Montclair Communications Director Katya Wowk said.

Township officials want to remind residents and business owners:

  • Do not park on roadways, this restricts snowplows in clearing the roads, delays the completion of the township-wide snow clearing efforts and leaves snow piles in the roadway when parked vehicles are moved. Vehicles parked on roadways will be towed. The Fullerton Deck on North Fullerton Avenue is available for off-street parking.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel to keep roads clear and allow plows to navigate their routes with minimal delays.
The township also announced that refuse, recycling, Senior Citizen Bus and Evening Shuttle services would be suspended Friday.
