Montclarion II Hearing Postponed to Next Month

Public comments expected to be heard April 14.

The public hearing on the application from Bloomfield Associates for a 40-unit mixed use building at 10 Pine St. has been postponed until the April 14 Planning Board meeting.

The building, called Montclarion II, is proposed to front on the north side of Bloomfield Avenue, just west of the Shell gas station at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Pine Street, according to Montclair officials.

The building is expected to contain 40 new residential units and 1,419 square feet of retail space, and weigh in at five stories with a height of 67 feet.

Parking will be provided on two levels, with the lower level partially underground. A rendering of the proposed building is shown below.

The hearing will take place in Council Chambers at 205 Claremont Ave. as part of the regular planning board meeting. There will be an opportunity for public questions and comment, officials said.

The Montclarion II property had been on the schedule for the Feb. 25 planning board meeting.
