Say 'Montclair' — Council Retakes Official Portrait

Montclair's governing body wants to get its official portrait just right.

The township's manager, mayor and councilors took a few minutes before Tuesday night's conference meeting to reshoot their portrait.

Local photographer Michael Stahl was brought in for the do-over after some members of the council expressed dissatisfaction with the photograph currently hanging in council chambers.

This was the third take, said 4th Ward Councilwoman Renee Baskerville, who traditionally wears the same seafoam green suit for the portraits and swearing-in ceremonies.

Is this a "Vanity Affair?" Or does it make sense to look your best for posterity?
