Top Brooklyn Prosecutor Flouts NY State Law by Living in Montclair

Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney John O'Mara, 60, was found to be living in a home in Upper Montclair, the New York Post reports.

A top prosecutor in Brooklyn and Upper Montclair resident is violating New York state law by living west of the Hudson River, the New York Post reports.  

Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney John O’Mara, 60, was found to be living in a home in Upper Montclair, the newspaper reports. O’Mara leads a unit that investigates questionable convictions, according to the article. 

According to New York state law, prosecutors must live in cities with more than 1 million residents, but New York City requires they live within the state.
