According to The Montclair Times, former Network Administrator Alan Benezra has been asked back to Montclair, on contract. to complete unfinished business and aid the district in switching to a new domain.
Benezra was seemingly terminated following the unauthorized release of quarterly assesments in a scandal dubbed “assesmentgate.” He worked for the district for 25 years.
The Montclair Board of Education and Benezra have come to an agreement that the latter will “provide the board with user names, identifications and passwords for the district's wireless controller,” and “assist in the district's transfer to a new domain name server and deactivate all of Benezra's accounts and access to the server shared between the district and municipal government,” reported the Montclair Times.
In terms of compensation, Benezra is being paid a fixed initial amount of $1,000 and $150 per hour thereafter.
