"Ms. Trigg-Scales brings a wealth of experience to this position. She has been an assistant principal at Mt. Hebron, a principal in the Montclair Public School system, and in her last assignment, she was the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Assessment," Hoover said.

"She comes highly qualified to continue the positive work that has been started at Mt. Hebron," he said. "I ask you to join me in welcoming her."

Trigg-Scales will replace Guy Whitlock, who was unexpectedly transferred to Central Office this summer after two years as principal.

Hoover said that, within the next two weeks, the district will re-advertise and continue the search for a permanent principal to replace Whitlock.

"Please know that all steps are being taken to ensure a smooth and successful school opening in September," he said.
