Montclair Charter School Case Goes Before State Supreme Court
Application to open charter high school rejected six times by the N.J. Department of Education.
A group which has been rejected multiple times in its quest to create a charter school in Montclair will present its case to the state's highest court Monday.
Tracey Williams and other founders of the Quest Academy Charter School has sought approval to open a charter high school from the Department of Education six times, and six times they were rejected.
The Quest team is expected to argue that they cannot win under the state's rules.

After an appellate court sided with the DOE in May, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a charter school appeal for the first time, according to NJ Spotlight.
