Star-Ledger Editorial Condemns Montclair Common Core Test Leak
Editorial board says kids, not administrators, are the ultimate victims.
The Star-Ledger Editorial Board has a message for the individual or group that may be responsible for leaking more than a dozen Common Core assessments on a public website last month:
"To whoever anonymously leaked a series of tests designed to prepare Montclair students for next year’s tough new academic standards, perhaps thinking it was a stroke of justice: Think again."
The editorial posted Thursday goes on to say that to oppose the assessments is one thing, but to leak the tests days before they were to be taken is a "disheartening" act that ultimately hurts the students more than the district.
An investigation into the possible security breach is ongoing.
