Weston Awards Honor Montclair's Top Teachers

Looking for a way to honor an excellent Montclair teacher?

The nomination period is now open for the 2014 Josh and Judy Weston Awards for Excellence in Teaching.

Current teachers in Montclair Public Schools may be nominated by students, parents and guardians of children currently enrolled in the district. 

The deadline for nominations using this form is Wednesday, March 12.

Winning teachers will be selected by a committee of parent representatives from each school, along with Judy Weston, on the basis of creativity, high expectations, energy and concern for students. 

Winners will be announced in May, and an awards presentation and reception is planned for the June 2 Montclair Board of Education meeting.

Weston Award-winning teachers receive a $2,000 cash award.

A total of 16 teachers were honored in 2013.
