The girls volleyball team of Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair surpassed expectations by defeating Orange 26-24 and 25-21 on Monday.
In the first game, Immaculate came from behind to win the game.
The ICHS team has been playing well all season but this was an especially important game for the girls because Orange is a much bigger school.
All of the Immaculate players were stars but, in particular, Breanna Dennis and Chanelle Lester stood apart. Dennis had eight digs and five kills and Lester had 21 service points and seven aces.
By winning this game, ICHS is now 8-2 and leads its division. This is a huge win for ICHS and the team is now poised for even greater success.
