Essex Pool To Open Early Due To Heat Wave
An all-out heat wave is headed to Montclair.
With an all-out heat wave headed to Northern New Jersey later this week, Montclair Recreation has decided to open Essex Pool two days earlier than normal.
Essex Pool will open Wednesday, June 20 and Thursday, June 21 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. All pools open for the season on Friday, June. 22.

High temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to come close—if not surpass—all-time records, with heat indexes predicted to top 100 degrees.
Pool badges are available at the Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs office, 205 Claremont Avenue, Montclair, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. They may also be purchased online—see online purchase information: http://orl.me/HavIE8.
