Fourth of July Parade Marches Through Montclair

The state champion Montclair High football team led the way for the 63rd annual event.

The 63rd annual Montclair Fourth of July Parade featured a sports theme with grand marshals the defending state champion Montclair High football team and football booster Wade Amadeo. The deputy grand marshals were the Montclair High boys and girls soccer and field hockey sectional champs.

The award-wining Fralinger String Band of Philadelphia Mummers were back this year with their 2013 theme, "Back from the Dead."

The 1.6-mile parade began at Bloomfield and South Fullerton avenues and went across Midland Avenue to Watchung Avenue and then on Valley Road before ending at Edgemont Park.
