Council Considers Funds for Road Improvements, Adult School Registration Opens

Registration for the upcoming semester of the Adult School of Montclair begins Tuesday. Starting this fall, Montclair residents are eligible for $10 vouchers good toward classes of their choice. See details.

District teachers report to Montclair Schools on Tuesday and Wednesday for teacher workshops. The district will be closed Thursday for Rosh Hashanah. The first day of school for students is Monday, Sept. 9.

The Montclair Township Council will hold a conference meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the council chambers. The agenda includes a resolution to approve a $350,000 appropriation from capital surplus to be used for road improvements

Registration is now also open for the Montclair Art Museum's Yard School of Art. Classes, workshops, and new short courses are available for kids, adults, and teens. Register online at montclairartmuseum.org or call 973-259-5139 or 973-259-5159. Fall courses start Sep. 23.
